God has a purpose for your life… and He’s preparing you for it.

It’s one of the easiest traps to fall into, especially in a world where you can see everyone else’s highlights at any moment. Comparison can feel automatic—but it’s also deeply misleading. What you’re seeing is only a piece of someone else’s story, not the full weight of what they carry or the path they had to walk to get there.

We have to stop comparing our lives with somebody else's life. Because the moment you measure your life against someone else’s, you start losing clarity about your own. You begin to question your timing, your progress, even your value—based on something that was never designed to define you.

Because somebody else's life is not meant for you. Their assignment is not your assignment. What they’ve been called to build, walk through, or carry is specific to them. And what you’ve been given is just as intentional. Purpose isn’t interchangeable. You can’t step into someone else’s lane without stepping out of your own.

The danger in that is that it makes you abandon your purpose for something that was never meant for you. Comparison doesn’t just distract—it redirects. It pulls your attention away from what you’re meant to cultivate and convinces you to chase something that won’t truly fulfill you. And in doing that, you risk neglecting the very thing you were created to grow.

Growth doesn’t follow a universal timeline. What feels slow to you may actually be steady. What looks like delay may actually be preparation. Just because your journey doesn’t look like someone else’s doesn’t mean it’s off track.

So stay in your lane, because your Grace will be there.

You're not falling behind. You're just on a different path.
